You can host, entertain and have fun, all that while cooking like a master because the Maverick XR-50, a four-channel wireless remote food thermometer, engages radio frequency signal to send temperature data from the transmitter to the receiver from up to 500 feet. The Maverick XR Pro|Remote BBQ and Smoker Thermometer is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, even at night, as it comes equipped with a digital LCD screen, identical on both the transmitter and the receiver, with a blue backlight that can be illuminated by pressing any button for easy reading. With the internal oven and meat information visible on the LCD display, you will be spot on with your perfectly cooked meat by knowing their exact internal temperature. The receiver includes separate readings with all information on each probe’s progress for easy monitoring. The four probes display four temperatures on the LCD and it also allows you to set HIGH or LOW alarms for each probe (set independently from one another), so you’re alerted if the BBQ falls below or above temperature. Both the transmitter and receiver have soft silicone borders to protect against shock if dropped and folding stands on their backs that can double as hangers. They also have magnets on their back that allow you to stick the devices to a steel surface. The battery compartments have a waterproof seal. The jacks for the temperature probes are fitted with seals to block moisture if it rains (the transmitter is water-resistant if all four probes are plugged in: otherwise, the unoccupied jacks can allow water entry).
