Bernhard Pedersen Sideboard

Midcentury Danish teak tambour fronted sideboard made by Bernhard Pedersen & Son. In very good condition throughout, the interior features adjustable shelves on each side with three pull-out dovetail jointed trays in the middle for added storage. The tambour front rolls seamlessly into the sides, a clever feature that minimises the space needed to access the interior storage. The front edges, doors, base and legs are constructed of richly grained solid wood. Beautifully constructed, the legs are slightly recessed to allow the sideboard to sit flush with the wall with the main body above the skirting board. Typical of Danish furniture of this period, raising the sideboard up on legs not only allows for easier cleaning but gives the whole piece a lighter feel that belies its sturdy construction.
