Vintage Sterling Silver & 18K Gold Opal Ring by LYON - Sz 5.75

Textured appliqués of sterling silver and 18K gold are featured on this sculptural ‘studio jewelry’ ring, set with an opal and pink tourmaline gemstone by jewelrysmith Howard Lyon. The artisan made ring is completely hand wrought, and consists of sterling silver in an abstract asymmetrical design – along with stepped cut and patterned surface, decorative accents of 18K yellow gold, and two stacked stones – bezel set with a genuine opal, and with what appears to be a pink tourmaline. It fits a size 5&3/4 on my ring mandrel, weighs 9.9 grams, and is signed “LYON”, “Sterling”, “18K”, along with a fourth undecipherable mark.
