PartFinder Trial License

PartFinder is a 3D camera SDK module powered by Ensenso, designed to detect and localize CAD-based objects within 3D point cloud data. It is integrated into NxLib as a functional module and requires a separate software license for activation and use. This version includes a 1-week trial license for the Ensenso PartFinder Tool**, allowing users to evaluate its capabilities before purchasing a full license. The module is particularly valuable for industrial automation applications that need to identify a known component and determine its exact position and orientation in three-dimensional space. By providing reliable 3D object recognition and pose estimation, PartFinder supports tasks such as robotic guidance, automated bin picking, machine loading, component handling, pick-and-place operations, and other vision-guided automation processes. PartFinder operates by comparing a predefined template model with point cloud captured by 3D Stereo Vision camera. The process begins with CAD model provided in STL format. PartFinder converts this model into a dedicated point cloud representation, which is then used as the reference template during the matching process. Once the 3D Stereo Vision camera has captured the target scene, the software searches the observed point cloud for geometric structured that correspond to the template. It evaluates potential matches according to the selected search parameters and matching criteria, allowing the detection process to be configured for the requirements of a specific application. The resulting match data identifies the detected component and provides essential pose information, including its location, orientation and matching confidence within the 3D camera coordinate system. This information can be transferred to a robot or automation system, enabling accurate interaction with objects even when parts are randomly positioned, and rotated among other components. By combining CAD model matching with 3D Stereo Vision technology powered by Ensenso, PartFinder offers a practical solution for manufacturers and system integrators seeking to automate complex object detection and handling tasks.
