You have crew dice hidden in a bamboo cup, a ship on a modular magnetic board, and absolutely no intention of telling the truth. Lying Pirates is a fast, social, ruthless race for the pirate throne, built on the bones of classic liar's dice and elevated with a three-phase turn structure that keeps every player locked in from the first roll to the last. Each round opens with the Betting Phase: everyone rolls their hidden crew dice, then wagers on the collective totals around the table, raising the bid, locking in, or calling someone a liar at exactly the right moment. The winner leads the Sail Phase, rolling to advance ships across unique event tiles with twists ranging from sea monsters to treasure hauls. Finally, the Action Phase lets players throw Gold and Silver cards to attack rivals, defend against threats, or swing momentum in their favor.
