Akashi Red is a Japanese blended whisky from Eigashima Shuzo’s White Oak Distillery in Akashi, Hyogo. Made with a combination of malt and grain whiskies, it is an approachable expression with a dry, smooth character and a gentle balance of fruit, sweetness, spice and oak. Matured in bourbon casks and finished in sherry casks, Akashi Red develops layers of vanilla, citrus, stone fruit and soft spice alongside its underlying malt character. Its lighter profile makes it easy to enjoy neat or over ice, while its clean, refreshing character also works particularly well in a Highball.
