Description: Each piece of this rough orange calcite is approximately 1/2" - 2" in size. Rock/Mineral Info: Orange calcite is a carbonate mineral known for its lovely orange hues, which are caused by trace inclusions of other minerals. Many of the different calcite colors grow together in limestone deposits; upon being mined, they are sorted by color and brought to the wider crystal market. Calcites are relatively soft, scoring a 3 on the Mohs hardness scale, and as such can be scratched easily by harder substances. Metaphysical Properties: Orange calcite is associated with happiness, hope, and adventure. It is connected primarily to the solar plexus and sacral chakras.
