NCE DB5 Booster w-Power Supply

NCE DB5 Booster w-Power Supply is a 5-amp DCC booster designed to expand the power capacity of an NCE Power Cab system. When used with an SB5 Smart Booster, it provides additional power for locomotives and accessories, making it a useful upgrade for larger model railroad layouts and operating sessions. The NCE DB5 Booster w-Power Supply can be added to an SB5 system when more power is needed. Each DB5 booster provides 5 amps and can handle approximately 5 to 10 HO-scale locomotives, depending on the operating conditions. Additional DB5 boosters can also be added to an SB5 for increased power handling on larger layouts. When the SB5 is used with a Power Cab, the Power Cab can be unplugged and operated as a true walk-around cab. This allows operators to move between different cab panels without interrupting locomotive operation. The SB5 supports up to 6 cabs using cab addresses 2 through 7, while equipped cabs can provide up to six recalls each. With the SB5, the Power Cab Panel (PCP) functions as an extension of the cab bus rather than providing track power. Either 4-wire or 6-wire cab bus cable can be used, and all four PCP jacks can serve as cab bus extensions. The SB5 does not have a dedicated programming track output. The basic Power Cab can still provide programming-track capability when used with the PCP and P114 without the SB5. This allows model railroaders to maintain programming functionality while using the booster system for layout operation.
