Jeremy Harvey ‘Hello There’ Chair for Artifort, 1978

A playful and instantly recognisable Hello There chair, designed by Jeremy Harvey for Artifort in 1978. The words “Hello” and “There” are incorporated into the openwork seat and backrest, giving the chair its distinctive Pop Art character. Made from cast aluminium and marked Artifort underneath. Suitable as an occasional chair or sculptural accent piece, both indoors and outdoors. The chair was repainted white at a later date. The repainting was executed rather rudimentarily and shows unevenness, paint drips and other imperfections. Structurally sound and presented honestly in the photographs.
