Marathon NAV-D Standard-Issue, Tritium Pilot's Quartz 41mm | WW194013BK-0101
The Marathon Pilot’s Navigator was developed in partnership with Kelly Air Force Base in 1986. The objective then remains today: a pilot’s watch with uncompromising quartz accuracy—capable of withstanding extreme altitude changes. The case of the newly-issued 41mm NAV-D is constructed with CeraShell®—Marathon’s proprietary case construction made up of bio-sourced plastic and ceramic powder, with an aluminum bezel. The CeraShell version of the Navigator has been enhanced with: Removable spring bars Radial mounted tritium tube insert, affixed into the bezel pip (improved visibility and protection) An aluminum bezel to deliver a more tactile rotation This evolution of the Navigator lightens the mission load while upholding the durability and reliability Navigators are known for. PURPOSE-BUILT FOR ANY TERRAIN With the ETA F06.115 HeavyDrive Quartz movement, the 41mm Navigator with Date (NAV-D) features an accuracy rating of -0.2 to +0.5 seconds per day. The NAV-D is constructed with bio-sourced plastic and ceramic powder with a push down crown and synthetic sapphire crystal, making it operational even when submerged to 6ATM (60m/195ft). The refreshed case design features enhanced lug tapering, providing a comfortable fit making the NAV-D ideal for all-day wear. The increased height of the 12HR aluminum GMT bezel is specially designed to provide improved grip, allowing pilots to easily handle the bi-directional rotation while wearing flight gloves. The bezel also features inset-painted indices, enhancing the legibility of the markings. Self-contained tritium gas tubes on the hour markers, the minute/hour hands, and the bezel pip ensure constant visibility in low-light environments. Tritium tubes are self-illuminating, containing an isotope of hydrogen that won't dull down over time like photoluminescent paint, meaning the watch will remain fully legible at all hours. Protecting the dial of the NAV-D is a highly durable sapphire crystal. This allows the watch to withstand extreme changes in air pressure – necessary for the watch’s use by military pilots at altitudes of over 35,000ft – while also providing scratch resistance and pristine clarity. The 41mm NAV-D is Swiss-made and Canadian-designed for premium quality and craftsmanship.
