WALL PENDANT // Helios

After building an impressive design history, designer Gonzalo Milà formed his own studio in 2001, creating urban furniture, lighting and accessories, as well as projects fostering the integration of wildlife into the city of Barcelona. A strict essentialist, Mila's way of designing is humane, approachable and based on the fundamental importance of utility. In collaboration with Bover Lights (Barcelona); Helios wall light is a relative of the Tanit ceiling pendant. Helios has a light and subtle appearance with hand-woven 'shade' to the circumference, made from thin waxed cotton cord that radiates an interplay of shade and light rays that resemble the sun. Helios functions either as a single ambient piece or as a series of light 'murals’ for a highly decorative result. Available to order (lead time 12 weeks unless in stock).
