The Palm Facade
In Spring of 2025 I painted the cover for Santa Barbara Magazine's 50th Anniversary Home & Garden issue. The building depicted in gouache is an amalgam of different George Washington Smith houses, and is flanked on both sides of the tile-line doorway by enormous banana leaf palms and a bright bougainvillea vine. The issue was very popular, tapping in to Santa Barbara's collective love of our Spanish Colonial built environment and dramatic flora. I've issues here a limited edition set of Mini size prints (5.5 x 8.5" on double- thick cardstock) and 50 maxi size (13 x 18" on archival paper.) Signed and numbered.
