16 x 16 x 26.5 cm wheel thrown, hand made glazes dipped and brushwork on stoneware food, dishwasher and microwave safe Dave Dobie has been quietly making pots on and off for the past 50 years. He grew up in the Abbotsford area and was able to work with a local potter, Herman Venema, who encouraged his interest. Dave's training took him to Georgian College in Ontario where he studied with a British potter, Roger Kerslake. After art school, he returned to BC and made pots full time for a number of years. While his kids were growing up he worked at Greenbarn Potters Supply for 20 years. After the kids finished high school, he started making pots again.
