You must purchase them separately and the cable part number needs to end in CG4. The Standard Process Interface (PIF) cable turns an Ethernet-based Xi series thermal camera into a fully integrated part of your control system. It carries analog and digital signals in and out of the camera and adds RS485 serial communication, all terminating in a labeled terminal block that wires straight to your PLC, controller, or process equipment. If you need your camera to trigger on an external event, output a live temperature to a controller, or raise an alarm, this is the cable that makes it happen. One Cable for Analog, Digital, and RS485 The PIF cable provides a 0 to 10 V analog input, a 0/4 to 20 mA analog output that can also serve as an alarm output, and a 24 V digital input, plus RS485 serial communication. That combination lets the camera both receive commands from your process and send temperature or status data back to it. Integrated electronics handle the signal conditioning, and a 5-outlet terminal block with clear color coding (ground, digital input, power, analog input, and analog output) makes wiring quick and unambiguous. Reliable Signals Over Long Distances RS485 is built for the plant floor, carrying data reliably over long cable runs where other interfaces would degrade. That makes it easy to place the camera where the measurement needs to happen and route its data back to a control room or cabinet without losing signal integrity along the way. Programmable Through PIX Connect Every input and output is configured in the free PIX Connect software, so you decide exactly what each line does. Analog and digital inputs can set emissivity, apply ambient temperature compensation, supply a reference temperature, control the flag, trigger snapshots, recording, line scans, or the event grabber, and reset peak or valley hold. The analog output can broadcast the main measurement area, a specific measurement area, internal temperature, flag status, an alarm, or the center pixel as a direct output. You get precise, repeatable control without any custom hardware. Built for Harsh, Hot Environments The cable is rated IP67 / NEMA 4 against dust and water, with a PVC jacket and a standard operating range of 0 °C to 85 °C. For installations near ovens, furnaces, or other heat sources, an optional high-temperature version withstands ambient temperatures up to 250 °C (482 °F). A right-angle connector option and a version prepared for use with the Xi water-cooled housing are also available for tight or demanding mounting situations. Compatibility This cable is designed specifically for the Ethernet-based Xi series and is compatible with the Xi 80, Xi 410 LT, Xi 410 MT, and Xi 1M. It is not compatible with the PI series or with the Xi 400 and Xi 640 cameras, which use a different pinout. Need More Channels or Isolation?
