Sidney Fox (Tragic Universal Horror Actress) Autograph

Subject: Sidney Fox Size: 4.5x5.5 Description: Exceptionally scarce inscribed, signed, and dated autograph album page; the very rare inscription and signature of actor Leslie Fenton (1902-1978) is on the reverse. Fox had the female lead opposite Bela Lugosi in the Universal Horror classic, Murders in the Rue Morgue (1932). She gave a fine performance in the pre-Code classic Strictly Dishonorable (1931) and starred in a few other films including Bad Sister (1931), Once in a Lifetime (1932), G.W. Pabst's Don Quixote (1933), and School for Girls (1934). Fox reportedly committed suicide in 1942, when she was only thirty-four.
