The wax bead is then covered in fine clay, dried, and then heated so the wax runs out. Next the newly created mold is filled with molten brass. Once cooled the mold is broken to release the bead, the mold cannot be re-used. Each bead is unique. Next steps involve cleaning, grinding off any traces of sprues, and polishing.
