Kawasaki KLX300 Hi-Flo Air Filter Holder
Kawasaki KLX300 Hi-Flo Air Filter Holder Unleash some hidden performance from your KLX engine! Developed in-house and manufactured for us by Anker. This replacement air filter holder will allow more air into your engine to increase power and throttle response. This product replaces the stock filter holder. Our filter holder eliminates the restrictive wire mesh screen and incorporates larger open areas, and sculpted filter supports to allow more air to flow, which is the first step to increasing power! Using this product alone will result in a small but noticeable improvement in throttle response and slightly more power throughout the rev range. Manufactured in a special poly blend of plastic, custom engineered and tested specifically for the KLX300 series motorcycles. Combine this product with our separately available hi-flo KLX300 air filter lid for maximum intake air flow. This product fits the following Kawasaki motorcycles: 2020+ KLX300R 2021+ KLX300 dual sport 2021+ KLX300 super moto Please note - The most straightforward way to install this product is to remove the airbox assembly from the bike. Typically, on the R models - just removing the muffler and loosening the battery box/under-fender plastic will allow the airbox to slide out from the subframe area and is not a very big project. If you prefer not to remove the airbox, then you will need a stubby Philips screwdriver (for removal of 3 of the holder screws) AND something like a NEIKO 01323A Ultra Low Profile Offset Screwdriver (available on Amazon) - along with some patience, in order to get the 4th screw out and back in without removing and disassembling the airbox. KLX300 Dual Sport & Super Moto owners - Installing this product on these models will require you to either remove the rear shock and loosen other things in order to remove and disassemble the airbox, OR - go ahead and get a NEIKO 01323A Ultra Low Profile Offset Screwdriver set (from Amazon or other places....) along with a stubby Philips style screwdriver. Using these 2 tools will typically allow you to swap out the air filter holder with the airbox still in-place on the bike. No installation instructions are provided, but once the airbox is removed, it can be easily opened up by removing the 8 or so screws that hold the two halves together. Then you can easily access the 4 screws for the filter holder with no issues. When swapping out the filter holder, remember to peel the rubber o-ring from the groove in the backside of the stock filter holder and install it into your new hi-flo filter holder, prior to securing it with the 4 screws. Although not mandatory, but for maximum performance potential we recommend using this filter holder on the KLX300 in combination with our KLX300 Air Box Lid and also Power Pulse Spark Arrestor Insert for those with an R model. This 3-part combination will give you the very highest and most affordable power increase possible with no EJK tuner required. Important! - This product is for off-road racing use only and not EPA certified for use on public roads & highways. In addition- this product eliminates the factory back-fire screen, we recommend using a non-flammable air filter along with non-flammable air filter oil.
