The Eurofighter Typhoon is a twin-engine, multirole fighter developed by a consortium of Germany, the UK, Italy, and Spain under the NATO Eurofighter and Tornado Management Agency. First flown in 1994 and entering operational service in 2003, the Typhoon was designed for air superiority but has evolved into a capable multirole platform, supporting both air-to-air and air-to-ground missions. It features advanced avionics, a highly agile airframe, and a top speed exceeding Mach 2. As of 2024, over 570 Typhoons have been built and delivered to nine nations, including the UK, Germany, Italy, Spain, Austria, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, and Qatar. The Typhoon has seen combat in Libya (2011), Syria, and Iraq, mostly in strike and patrol roles.
