Sonically, the K47 capsule differs from our standard capsule in a couple of ways: first, in the area of the presence boost, normally for us a slight 2-3 dB bump around 10k, the K47 has a punchy mid-forward boost in the 2-5k region. The low frequnecy response tends to be meatier. The K47's gently rolled-off top end often feels more “record-ready” than Neumann’s later 67/87 design, while being more forgiving and natural sounding in off-axis situations.
