A fine quality Victorian parcel-gilt silver dessert serving set by H J Lias & Son (Henry John Lias & Henry John Lias), hallmarked London 1873. Comprising four berry spoons and a sugar-casting ladle. Bacchinalian pattern, parcel-gilt finish with ornate decoration depicting scenes of classical revelry from the Roman festival honoring Bacchus, the god of wine. In a fitted leather case with retail Mapping & Webb. Length of spoons 7.5" (18.3cm), total weight 10 troy oz (311g). *There is a faint crease in the bowl of one spoon.
