Carlo Palanca (Turin, 1725-1730) - A=415 Hz
Our reproduction is based on an early 18th century model (c. 1725-1730) by Carlo Palanca, Turin, regarded as one of the finest examples of 18th century Italian flute making, fewer than 25 original flutes are known to survive today. This Palanca model is among the most frequently reproduced Baroque flutes, valued for its versatility and well suited to a broad range of repertoire, including works by Vivaldi, Corelli, Telemann, and J.S. Bach. Pitch: A = 415 Hz Crafted from Boxwood, Cocobolo wood or Grenadilla ebony wood. Wood-ends are protected by imitation Ivory or wooden rings. The key is cast in brass and features steel spring and leather pad. Comes with care instructions and a fingering chart. Additionally, accessories such as a velvet-lined protective case, cleaning cloth, and spare pads are included.
