The ZRY-222 Unmanned Combat Ground Vehicle (UCGV) is a Chinese, tracked, semi-autonomous combat robot designed for infantry close support, reconnaissance, and combat, which was first shown in official Chinese state media in September 2025. It is often paired with a system referred to as "Robot Wolves", a series of four-legged, AI-driven legged robots, designed and produced by Chinese defense firm NORINCO, intended to operate in a swarm or pack to support infantry. These combat vehicles operate in concert with "Robot Wolves," which are quadrupedal robots equipped with reconnaissance or combat modules. These packs of legged robots operate autonomously or semi-autonomously to scout or attack, supported by the larger tracked ZRY-222. The system utilizes AI for navigation and target identification, with the ability to function with minimal human input in high-risk zones.
