Origins: Variegated sport found in grex at Tropiflora Bloom: Intermediate compound inflorescence with several red bracts and purple tubular flowers Light: Strong indirect or filtered light, some direct light okay Water: Spray or dunk twice a week, allow to dry between waterings. The semi bulbous base can be prone to rotting to be sure to thoroughly dry Semi bulbous base and lepidote leaves like the pollen parent streptophylla, semi stiff swirling semi recurved leaves and a bloom like that of concolor. Variegation tends to be a recessive trait in Tillandsias, often appearing and disappearing within a generation or two. Sometimes, in the case of Tillandsia Deborah Ann and now Tillandsia Extravagance, this trait is strong, and readily passed on to most offsets.
