FRIENDS GATHER HERE Wool Applique' Table Runner

I created this table runner for a wool applique workshop in TN a couple years back. Oh, what a wonderful trip that was! A field of rich autumn colors, a "big" blue house, flowers flowing from an old urn and two lovely horses frolicking in the field. At the top you'll find the words, Friends Gather Here. You will also find a little dragon fly floating around the words. You will also find a large needle and "thread" amongst the words. On the bottom you'll find my initials and TN 2024. The table runner is made with a hand dyed linen background in a soft "latte" brown from Blackberry Primitives. The wool used throughout the project is also hand dyed wool from Blackberry Primitives in rich colors of brick, pumpkin, faded indigo. butterscotch, cream, army green, black, and driftwood. The tiny dragonfly wings are made from a bit of antique cotton. The trim around the edges is made from quilt shop cotton. The finished piece measures 18" x 34" and will come to you carefully wrapped and packaged for travel.
