‘In Flux of Mind’ embraces the imagination’s propensity for mystique and melodrama. Imagination has the ability to supplant ‘reality’ through unreliable narration; through remembrance. This debut exhibition attempts to capture the expressive flux of images that travel between our internal and external worlds. With her background in film and conservation, the artist reimagines natural Wurundjeri landscapes as brooding cinematic compositions. These painted works resist the tradition of static documentation in favour of distorted, emotive recollections.
