‘Spanish’ Morion / Cabasset – North Italian, Late 16th Century Authentic Italian Spanish Cabasset Morion Helmet, Late 16th Century (1580-1600) Heavy “Shot-Proof” construction with narrow brim and brass grommets and linen head guard, turned lip and pear stalk skull crown. Better condition than most, probably from a Monastery Hoard . Some surface rust, and age. Hole in brim for arsenal storage. A Spanish Conquistador comb Morion (circa 17th century).
