Sungma First Flush 2026

The Sungma Tea Estate, just like Puttabong, is also familiar to our customers. In 2019 our First Flush hailed from there as well. Sungma is situated further south, in the Rungbong Valley, where an almost continuous light mist keeps the tea plants moist. The name Sungma is derived from the Tibetan words Sanga Maru, which mean ‘the place where many mushrooms grow’. The Sungma Tea Estate produces exclusively organic tea and is Fair Trade certified. The First Flush from Sungma is a fragrant tea, picked just a little later than the Puttabong and therefore slightly stronger.
