About the wine This is a Grand Cru Alsace Gewurztraminer from the Praelatenberg site, grown on granite and gneiss. The vineyard, described as the “mountain of the Prelats”, has been under vine since the 9th century. The wine is in organic conversion, with 13% ABV, 18.5 g/L residual sugar, and an ageing window of 12–15 years. Tasting notes Complex and rich on the nose, then broad, smooth and generous on the palate. Honey and pastry notes give it a plush, lingering finish. About the winemaker The same family story runs through this bottle too: Allimant-Laugner is a multi-generational Alsace domaine built by the Allimant and Laugner families, with the current estate shaped by Hubert, Françoise and Nicolas. It is boutique in scale, deeply rooted in Orschwiller, and focused on expressive, site-led wines.
