Ebony mala with a silver guru bead

Hand-knotted mala made of 108 ebony beads with a warm, matte dark brown hue, accented by individual turquoise beads with silver elements. The mala is topped with an artfully openwork silver guru bead, crafted in a traditional silversmith’s workshop in Nepal; a red tassel hangs from it. The 108 beads correspond to the traditional number of beads in a Buddhist prayer necklace and are used to accompany the recitation of mantras and the counting of breaths during meditation.
