Chauve is a rugged district located in the Chimbu province between the western and eastern highlands, where coffee must be grown on very steep mountainsides above 1600 meters, making harvest a challenge. This Chimbu lot originates from a group of about 40 smallholder farmers, generally growing Arusha, Blue Mountain, Bourbon, and Typica varities in garden plots.
