Shakyamuni Buddha & Hayagriva Thangka Sponsorship

Maha Tare Buddhist Centre is commissioning three sacred hand-painted thangkas and warmly invites devotees to participate in this meritorious sponsorship project. The commissioned thangkas include two depictions of Lord Shakyamuni Buddha, commemorating the Buddha’s birth, enlightenment, and parinirvana, as well as a Most Secret Hayagriva (Tamdrin Yangsang) thangka together with the lineage gurus and associated deities. The Shakyamuni Buddha thangkas are painted by master Tibetan artists from Qinghai, which will be displayed during the Centre’s Vesak celebrations at Waterloo Street. While the last thangka depicts the Most Secret Haygriva (Tib: Tamdrin Yangsang) along with the lineage gurus and other associated deities, the protector deity of the Centre and also of Sera Jey Monastic University, Geshe Lama Konchok’s alma mater. Sponsoring thangkas is a profound act of generosity that supports the preservation of the Dharma and creates immense merit and blessings for oneself and all beings.
