Best Buds is a commemorative Jubilee wallpaper, designed by Kate Hawkins. The anthropomorphic buds were inspired by a William Kilburn sketch from 1800. They can be read as flowers, crowns, or even winking eyes that warmly watch over us, while the repetition in the design nods to a lifetime of duty and best behaviour.
