The Hold Steady is taking over Chicago June 11th, 12th, and 13th for THREE massive nights to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Boys and Girls in America!!! DMC is celebrating by dropping an absolutely epic, exclusive collaboration bag and coffee cold can to honor the upper midwest's most essential storytellers! The majority of this blend is one that stood out right away, a Catuai fermented with Kveik yeast, an experiment that we've conducted before in Guatemala and loved the results. This strain of yeast can handle higher temperatures, making it a great match for the warmer climate at Finca San Jeronimo. We've found this coffee to have loads of red fruit notes - pomegranate, cherry, currant, and so on! While we love the bright fruit notes of this coffee, we paired it with a washed Peruvian coffee from the northern part of the country, San Ignacio, called "Las Damas," which has more of a rich, earthy profile that helps to create balance in this blend!
