Meursault, a large and prosperous village, marks the beginning of a region renowned for producing exceptional white wines, occupying the southern part of the Côte de Beaune. Its vineyards are spread across gentle slopes, ranging in altitude from 230 to 360 meters. The orientation is highly favorable, ensuring maximum sunshine. The abundance of white marl in the limestone soil explains the predominance of white wine production, as this type of soil is better suited to the Chardonnay grape variety.
