Unlike traditional methods that impose form, Foldforming leverages the plasticity, ductility, and elasticity of metal to create stunning designs with ease. Originally invented and developed in the late 1980s by Charles Lewton-Brain, this groundbreaking technique will be taught by Charles himself in this workshop. This is a unique opportunity to learn directly from the creator, gaining invaluable insights and expertise straight from the source. Foldforming allows you to achieve complex, high-relief shapes quickly and efficiently—many dramatic transformations can be completed in just minutes. Tools are simple; fingers, hands, hammers, mallets, anvils and rolling mills. Complex high relief forms are produced from single sheets of metal often with a single annealing. Perfect for jewelry, hollowware, sculpture, enameling, anodizing, and beyond, this versatile and inspiring technique is not to be missed. Important Information: Courses are for students 16+ years old. Younger teens may attend if accompanied by an adult who is also registered. Please reach out to us before signing up.
