Set against this ground is a spaced ogee medallion in burgundy with a pale silver centre, a pattern of real elegance that sits within the formal English tailoring tradition at its most considered. The combination of structured weave and restrained motif is characteristic of the finest Italian silk production of the early 1960s. Each tie in The Vintage Collection is handmade in Italy, cut to our current silhouette. The construction and finish are identical to everything else we make. The difference is the cloth.
