1857-C NGC AU Mexico 8 Reales Culiacan Mint Scarce Cap Rays Silver Coin (26052701D)

Almost Uncirculated Mexico silver 8 reales coin. Struck at the Culiacan Mint (mint mark C), assayer CE. Certified by NGC to AU Details Cleaned, (not distracting). Unpublished variety with the assayer letter E re-engraved over a small E. Lustrous and reflective surfaces, very appealing in hand. Well struck with the exception of the eagles' breast and cap. DP Cn12: "This year averages Extremely Fine or better. Usually weakly struck, particularly on the eagle, but better than the 1855 and 1856."
