Rare opportunity to own a 5m pair of Chord's original Sarum Speaker Cable. The original Chord Sarum was designed to ensure signal purity and was their most inaudible speaker cable to date. Designed (like all Chord cables) to have minimal effect on the audio signal, the Sarum simply disappears and lets the music signal flow through to the speakers. CORE SPECIFICATIONS CONDUCTORS: Multi-strand, micro-polished, high-purity copper conductors that are heavily silver-plated for maximum signal transmission. DIELECTRIC (INSULATION): Foamed PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) for superior dielectric performance. SHIELDING: Individually shielded positive and negative conductors, encased in a high-density, heavy-gauge silver-plated ribbon braid and dual-layer heavy foil to reject electromagnetic interference. TERMINATION: Hand-built to order and secured with precision-machined, uncompressed aluminium clamps to prevent the cable's characteristics from degrading due to compression. CONNECTORS: Factory-fitted with heavily 24-carat gold-plated 4mm Chord banana plugs.
