Form Study II

In Form Study II, Antoinette Ferwerda explores the relationship between form, volume and atmosphere through layered abstraction. Inspired by the principles of a form study, the work investigates how mass, depth and structure can be conveyed through colour, texture and movement rather than literal representation. Luminous veils of blue, green and soft iridescent tones drift across a darkened ground, creating a sense of emergence and spatial tension. This work can be displayed as a complementary piece to Form Study I, extending the visual conversation between the two paintings.
