It is 6 wale meaning it has 6 cord/grooves per inch, this is a way of measuring cord. So the lower the number the thicker the cord stripes will be. This cord is very soft to touch and does have a nice drape even though it is heavy weight. *Cord does have a nap so please keep this in mind when buying meterage. A nap is the raised surface on the fabric. When you brush your hand one way it will flatten the surface and if pushed the other way it will raise the fuzzy surface. Thus you want to cut your pants/garment all the same way.
