Custom Logo & Brand Labels for Clothing
Your logo label is the one detail on your garment that never leaves. It is sewn in, washed with the garment, and worn against the skin for the life of the product. It needs to be right — sharp, soft, and consistent. Why HD Damask for logo labels Logo labels need to reproduce fine lines, small text, and multi-colour brand marks at small scale. HD Damask uses 50-denier yarn woven at high density — the finest weave we produce — giving clean edges, accurate colour depth, and a soft flat surface that sits against the skin without irritating. Standard woven labels use coarser thread. For a logo, the difference is visible. Who orders custom logo labels Logo labels are used across a wide range of garment types and brand contexts. Independent clothing brands use them as neck labels to establish brand identity from the first production run. Streetwear labels use them in folded or looped formats sewn at the hem or sleeve. Childrenswear and babywear brands choose woven labels because printed alternatives can fade or crack — woven thread holds its appearance wash after wash. Premium fashion labels use HD Damask specifically because the fine thread density allows a wordmark or monogram to read cleanly at 2cm wide, where coarser weaves produce visible stair-step edges on diagonal lines and curves. See our guide for clothing brand startups → Frequently Asked Questions What is the difference between a logo label and a care label? A logo label (also called a main label or brand label) displays your brand name, logo, or mark. A care label displays washing and material instructions, as required by law in most markets. They are different products — care labels are typically printed rather than woven, because they carry more text. You can order both from Labeloom and ship them together. Where is a logo label sewn on a garment? Most brand labels are sewn at the centre back neck, making them the first thing someone sees when they pick up a garment. Some brands use them at the left side seam, hem, or sleeve cuff for a more subtle placement. The fold style you choose affects where and how the label attaches: a centre fold label loops over a seam, while an end fold label lies flat and is sewn along both short edges. Will the label survive repeated washing? Yes. HD Woven labels are produced from 100% polyester thread, which is colourfast and dimensionally stable. The woven structure does not crack, peel, or fade the way screen-printed or heat-transfer alternatives can. OEKO-TEX Product Class 1 certification requires testing for shrinkage, colour fastness, and chemical safety. Can I add a logo label to existing garments? Yes. If you are rebranding, updating your label, or labelling white-label garments, you can apply labels to finished pieces. Sew-on labels require a sewing machine or a tailor. Iron-on labels can be applied with a household iron or heat press. For high-volume relabelling, sew-on is more durable for repeated washing. How many colours can my logo include? Up to 12 Pantone-matched thread colours. Metallic gold and silver available at a small premium. Can I get a custom shape? Yes. Any shape definable as a vector file can be laser-cut — shields, arched labels, die-cut logo outlines. What file format do I need? Vector files (AI, EPS, PDF) give the sharpest result. PNG and JPG also accepted. Our design team checks every file before production.
