This limited-edition Martin 000-18 is one of just seventy guitars built to honor the 70th birthday of C.F. Martin IV, and it’s loaded with vintage charm. This guitar is in Mint Condition with no structural or cosmetic issues. Inspired by a 1955 000-18, it features a classic short 24.9-inch scale, non-scalloped X-bracing, and traditional 1 11/16-inch nut width. It delivers that signature dry, balanced tone Martin players have come to expect, with quick response and exceptional clarity across all registers. At the heart of the guitar is a reclaimed spruce top, aged in color and tone, paired with solid mahogany back and sides. The thin gloss finish lets the wood breathe, while the 1/4-inch Sitka spruce braces offer just the right amount of structure without sacrificing warmth. A GE-modern belly bridge and drop-in saddle keep the look and feel grounded in the Golden Era design language. A faux tortoise pickguard, multi-stripe rosette, and vintage-style Waffleback tuners complete the aesthetic. The neck has a modified low oval profile with a standard taper, making it comfortable for long sessions whether fingerpicking or strumming. The rosewood fingerboard is adorned with simple 1955-style dot inlays, and the whole instrument is topped off with a commemorative paper label signed by C.F. Martin IV himself. This is more than just a great-sounding guitar — it’s a piece of Martin history with tone to match. Perfect for the collector, the flatpicker, or the songwriter who appreciates tradition and craftsmanship.
