1940s Blue Temco Electric Type MkV Desk Clock 200/250V 50Hz This vintage Art Deco 1940s Blue Temco Electric Type MkV Desk Clock 200/250V 50Hz is a real survivor. It is mains operated, with a typical 12-hour clock face with black numerals, and was made in England by TEMCO (The Telephone Manufacturing Company limited). It has not been tested and is sold as non-working for display or restoration only, and will be supplied with a failed PAT test label. Approximate Size: Base Width: 16.3cm Clock Surround Width: 10.4cm Height: 12.3cm Base Depth: 6cm Clock Surround Depth: 2.5cm A lovely design, the blue square face surround sits on a chrome metal swing arm mounted to a matching blue plastic plinth. This enables the viewing angle to be changed by adjusting the screws on the swing arm. The clock face in the centre has a chrome edge and black hands. The time is adjusted by turning the chrome metal knob on the rear of the clock. In pretty good cosmetic condition, the Wedgwood blue plastic case does have some surface scuffs and a few nibbles in the plastic on the base. The clock face is stained and the chrome swing arms are pitted with slight corrosion. The electric clock has a TEMCO 200/250v 50Hz AC mechanism on the rear, within a brown bakelite case, which attached to the mains supply via a 2-pin plug. Since this no longer meets modern electric regulatory compliance, the clock would need converting for compatibility. A plug and lead are not supplied. A great little vintage clock for the display on an office desk or bedside cabinet! Please click on the following link for more vintage clocks and watches.
