2018 Russian River Estines Vineyard Pinot Noir

Estines vineyard is a beautiful four-acre vineyard located off Olivet Road in the center of the Russian River Valley. The vineyard produces world-class organic Pinot noir grapes from both Dijon clone 667 and 777 vines. We make the wine naturally, cold soaking the grapes and then fermenting them in small open-top fermenters. After a long slow fermentation, we gently press the wine off into new and neutral French oak barrels where it matures for eleven months until bottling. Only one hundred and seventy-five cases of this wine were produced, we hope you enjoy it. Awards: 93 Points - PinotFile, San Francisco Chronicle - Gold Medal Tasting Notes: Moderately light garnet color in the glass. Nicely perfumed with scents of grilling spice, red cherry, red raspberry and friendly oak. Gentle in the mouth in a light to mid weight style offering flavors of red cherry and berry, blueberry and spice. The silky mouthfeel satisfies as does the extended, raspberry-infused finish.
