SRS Cheek Rest Delete
Replacement cheek rest for the SRS designed to give a few more millimetres of relief to your cheek weld. One of the most common complaints with the SRS I hear is the uncomfortable scope ergonomics, due to the bullpup design and parallel alignment of the rail and the cheek rest, along side faceguards etc used in airsoft, it is often essential to use a scope riser to get a proper sight picture down the scope. This cover replaces the original adjustable cheek rest and gives a few extra millimetres of clearance, which can often make enough difference that a riser is no longer required, or at least give a little more comfort. However please bear in mind that the effect is small, and a riser may still be required based on your setup. We recommend testing by simply removing the stock cheek rest entirely to examine what difference this makes for you prior to purchase, to prevent disappointment. While it is absolutely possible to play with the cheek rest removed entirely, we think it is somewhat unsightly and gives more of a "something has fallen off your rif" vibe. This also exposes the channel in the SRS body containing the trigger transfer bar, which can lead to dirt ingress, so the cover gives protection and a more "finished" look. We have designed multiple version with varying styles and features. Full A more stylised design with framing around the edge of the original cheek rest cut-out, a more "complete" look with the extra relief space focused around the rear 5/6 of the overall size. Full -with Receiver protector The same as the "full" design but integrates our receiver protector into the cheek rest itself, combining all the benefits of the full cheek rest delete and our standalone receiver protector (for use with the removed bolt nub mod only) but providing a more secure mounting point for the receiver protector compared to the stand alone version Protector part is a separate component, with interlocking tabs which sit under the rest and secure it in place, but can still easily be replaced if required. For use with the removed nub mod ONLY, as the protector will interfere with the bolt handle if the nub is still in place. Low Profile: Minimalist design just covers up the lower part of the opening, covering the old screw holes, mounting point and trigger transfer bar. Installation consists of: Remove the original Torx screws and cheek rest - Remove the two plastic ribbed inserts connected to the SRS body (may require slight prying, using a thin implement such as a knife, but be careful not to scratch the SRS body) - (for receiver protector version only) - Slide the receiver protector part over the top of the SRS, where the bolt handle touches the top of the receiver, at 45 degrees, and be gentle, as excessive force or incorrect installation may damage the part. Slide the new cheek rest into place over the two metal screw points and reinstall the original 2 screws. Currently only compatible with the SRS A2 (& A2/M2) RH Only If you have a Left handed SRS and are interested in helping with developing a compatible version, please get in touch. Printed in PLA-CF
