Carraway Seeds
Approximately 300 open-pollinated, heirloom, and non-gmo Carraway Seeds (Carum carvi) per packet. Direct sow 0.25 in deep after last frost in the spring. Space 8-12 in apart. Slow to germinate. Keep soil evenly moist until established. Prefers well drained soil and full sun. Tolerates dry conditions once established. Plant in beds or containers. Biennial. Harvest leaves in first year. The fruit, which are mistakenly thought as seeds, can be harvested the second year and used as a spice for cooking.
