Convergence on Hand Dyed Falkland Wool Combed Top - 4 oz
Convergence is a kettle dyed variegated, somewhat repeatable colorway featuring deep blues, teals, and chocolate and is inspired by the convergence of the Allegheny and Monongahela Rivers into the Ohio River at the point in Pittsburgh. Falkland wool is a landrace - a wool originating from the Falkland Islands - typically a mix of Corriedale and Merino. A favorite multi-purpose wool that is suitable for beginners as well as experienced spinners. 3-5 inch staple length with bouncy crimp. Hand dyed using professional acid dyes that are hypoallergenic and meet either Oeko-Tex 100 or organic processing standards. Sold in 4 ounce quantities. Care: Handwash with tepid water and a wool wash (we recommend Unicorn Fibre Wash). Lay flat to dry. This fiber will felt! Because of the dye method, individual braids within a dyelot are fraternal and there will be variation between braids. Different dyelots will be more like cousins. Dyelot: 003 Ships in 1-3 business days. Free domestic shipping for all orders of $35 or more.
