Nanaimo Folks! If the thought of sipping on a drink at Bar Luna while up-cycling your own clothes sounds like fun, then this workshop's for you! About the Workshop Join Justine and I for a workshop at Bar Luna where you'll learn how to up-cycle your own clothes using Lino cut stamps hand carved with Justine's original tattoo designs. Ticket includes a drink of your choice from Bar Luna :) Come on your own or bring a friend (or two!). This workshop is perfect for absolute beginners or passionate crafters alike! During this workshop we'll walk you through how to block print your own clothes with black fabric ink and the rest of the time will be spent printing away! We're offering 12 spots for each time slot on Saturday, May 30th. ✿ 11:30 am - 1:00 pm ✿ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm ✿ 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm ✿ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm Please note: the workshop is in Nanaimo, BC. What do I bring for the workshop? Please bring 2-3 items you wish to up-cycle! These can include any clothes, tote bags or other fabric items! We will be stamping with black ink so black fabrics are not recommended. We suggest staying away from fabrics with a lot of texture (ex corduroy, cable knits, fleece) or stretch (ex activewear). Natural fabrics like cotton, linen, and denim are preferred to print on, although synthetic fabrics like rayon and polyester can be used as well. We will also have fabric scraps available to print on, so if you'd prefer to make a patch to sew onto something at a later time, this can be a great option as well! All supplies for block printing will be provided. Who should take this workshop? ✿ Adults 19+ ✿ Skill level: any level!
