Konjac has long been incorporated into the Japanese diet as a healthful food, with its history said to date back to the Kamakura period. In recent years, as health-consciousness has grown worldwide, 'konjac rice' -made from konjac- has been attracting attention. Through trial and error, we have independently developed a heat-and-pressure machine and succeeded in minimising the amount of coagulant traditionally required in konjac production, resulting in a konjac rice with no unpleasant odour.
