With CORE+, this mic has a max SPL, peak before clipping of 145 dB. 4099 CORE+ Mic, Extreme SPL (yellow marking on gooseneck) – used to close-mic extremely loud instruments, such as drums and some brass. You can buy a single 4099 alone or with a specific instrument clip, or you can choose a kit designed specifically for rock or classical applications.
